The ‘Soldiering on Through Life Trust’ are pleased to announce that The Rt. Hon Mark Francois MP will host a special drinks reception for the Charity on Thursday 28th November at the House of Commons.

Film & TV star Anthony Andrews is set to join guests on the night.

Mark Francois was appointed ‘Minister of State for Defense Personnel, Welfare and Veterans’ in September 2012.  He is currently the ‘Conservative MP for Rayleigh and Wickford’.  The event will be used by Charity to present funds to the various Charities who nominated winners at the 2013 awards.

Anne Diamond and Mike Read are both expected to attend the event along with a host of previous Award recipients and the good and the great from the British Military.  The Charity will be unveiling details of their 2014 travelling exhibition ‘8 Voices’ and will be announcing the winner of the GRAND RAFFLE.  There is still a few weeks to go to buy tickets – remember you can win a car for only £2. More information on the ‘raffle’ HERE

In addition the Charity will use the evening to announce the winners of the 2014 Awards – most of whom they hope will be in attendance on the night.

The closing date for nominees is fast approaching (only a few weeks to go now) – any military Charity that is interested in putting someone forward to should approach the Confederation of Service Charities (COBSEO).
