This year there are 12 categories up for grabs – three of which are open to public vote.
Finalists for Soldiering On Awards 2022 have been revealed and we are thrilled to share their inspirational stories now and over the coming weeks
This year, perhaps more than any other, the announcement of the Soldiering On Awards finalists is an opportunity to be inspired, humbled and moved…
Hundreds of people committed their time and energy to nominate truly special individuals and organisations across 12 award categories. As you can imagine, this presented our panel of judges – each one an expert in their field – with a truly demanding task. Their dedication and resolve resulted in 36 stellar finalists, and it is with enormous pride that we introduce them to you today. What better way to be uplifted than by celebrating the very best of our society – the remarkable achievements of the Armed Forces community.

Leo Docherty MP, the Minister for Defence People and Veterans, said:
“The Soldiering On Awards continue to shine a light on incredible and selfless people across the sector. I’m really proud to be associated with the awards and what they stand for; celebrating endeavours that deliver remarkable outcomes for our service leavers, veterans and their families. I fully encourage everyone across society to show their support for these incredible individuals and organisations.”
CEO of Soldiering On Awards, Lt. Col. Ren Kapur MBE commented:
“2022 is an incredible year for everyone involved in the Soldiering On Awards: nominators, nominees, finalists, judges, and last but certainly not least, our sponsors who make it possible.
“To quote a good friend of mine: ‘For Ren 2.0, the year 2022 is filled with hope, opportunities, and success.’ This is certainly how I view us coming together to raise a toast to people who have served the community in a rich variety of ways. After all, diversity is at the heart of the awards – from Sporting Excellence to Family Values, and Lifetime Achievement to Defence Inclusivity and beyond.
“Perhaps the nicest part of the ‘prize’ is that each of the finalists feels proud and happy to have a relationship with the Armed Forces. That itself is an award, and I like that very much.”
What Happens next?
On 4th July, our finalists and guests will come together in the company of sponsors, partners, and invited dignitaries, for a reception in the magnificent setting of the House of Lords.
The winners of each category will be revealed on 27th October at a fabulous black-tie gala reception at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, London. After the challenges presented over the last two years, this event is set to be a glorious celebration of the very best of the Armed Forces community.
In the meantime, join us in celebrating each of these incredible finalists and in recognising their achievements and successes. Please do read their remarkable stories here and share their storytelling far and wide.
