Animal Partnership Award – in partnership with Pets at Home (Public Vote)
An award to honour the unique relationships and companionship provided by animals, and/or the achievements of individuals or organisations engaged with animals that support and empower members of the Armed Forces community. The judging panel will select a shortlist of three entries to progress to the final public vote.
Education, Training & Development Award – in partnership with Reed in PartnershipAn award to honour excellence in the provision of vocational education, training or skills development. This may be in the fields of preparatory, ongoing or transitional development for members of the wider Armed Forces community. The provision could be delivered by an individual, team or organisation.
Family Values Award – in partnership with Pinnacle Service Families
An award to honour an individual, family, or group whose selfless commitment and dedication to others in the Armed Forces community ensures that they are cared for, supported or helped. This selfless act is therefore a shining example to society.
Healthcare and Rehabilitation Award – in partnership with Redwood Technologies Group
An award to honour a person or team that has demonstrated a major commitment and contribution in support of the physical or mental welfare of serving or former members of the Armed Forces community. This may be through healthcare, therapeutic treatment or rehabilitation services and support.
Inspiration Award – in partnership with NatWest (Public Vote)An award to honour a person that has overcome significant challenge, injury or disability, inspiring others in the Armed Forces community with their outstanding achievements in personal endeavour, campaigning, sport, or the workplace. The judging panel will select a shortlist of three entries to progress to the final public vote.
Employee Champion Award – in partnership with LandmarcAn award to honour an exceptional employee who has made a significant contribution to support members of the Armed Forces community achieve success within civilian roles. Nominees will demonstrate a measurable impact and extraordinary commitment to championing the employability of service leavers, reservists, veterans, spouses and family members. The nominator must be employed by the same employer as the nominee.
Business Start-Up Award – in partnership with GKN AerospaceAn award to honour an individual or group of individuals linked with the Armed Forces community who have started a successful new business venture within the last two years (since 01 January 2023) and who still retain a minimum of 50% interest in the venture.
Business Scale-Up Award – in partnership with LSEG FoundationAn award to honour an individual or group of individuals linked with the Armed Forces community who have started a successful new business venture more than two years ago (before 01 January 2023) and who still retain a minimum of 50% interest in the venture.
NEW FOR 2025!
Community Impact Award – in partnership with BAE SystemsAn award to honour an organisation (Charity, Social Enterprise or other Third Sector Organisation) that has made a significant positive impact on the lives of specific beneficiary cohorts within the Armed Forces community. This impact should be evidenced within the last three years; since 01 January 2022.

Judging takes place during April, May and June 2025
Finalists in each category will be announced on 23 June 2025
Finalists are celebrated with a reception at the House of Lords in July 2025
Winners will be formally announced at Awards Night in October 2025

Nominating in the Soldiering On Awards 2025
The Soldiering On Awards recognise, honour and celebrate outstanding achievements of individuals and groups in the Armed Forces community.
We invite you to consider who do you know that:
- Has made positive changes by solid, practical achievement;
- Has brought distinction to the UK Armed Forces community, Armed Forces life or enhanced the reputation of their charity, group, or organisation;
- Has used the skills acquired during service for their country to add value to society, after leaving the Armed Forces;
- May not have served but their work or significant achievements are in support of the Armed Forces community.
If you believe that your nominee demonstrates any of these and their contribution makes them stand out, then please consider nominating them for a Soldiering On Award.
The process is simple and requires the nominator to submit a detailed description explaining why you are nominating your nominee. Read our guidance below on the information you should gather.
