Monica Galetti and first Gulf War POW John Nichol launch the countdown to the 2015 Square Mile Salute at Annabel’s private Members Club – in support of armed forces charities including the Soldiering On Through Life Trust
Key Note speaker John Nichol was joined by Soldiering On Award-winners, Charles Clarke – 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award-winner and former WWII POW from Stalag Luft III, famous for “The Great Escape” and Afghanistan veteran triple amputee Andy Reid winner of the 2015 Against All Odds Award, at a by-invitation-only talk for 80 guests at Annabel’s Private Members Club
Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton talked about the need to support Armed Forces charities and John Nichol gave a fascinating presentation about his experience of being shot down and captured as a POW in the 1st Gulf War. Monica Galetti talked about plans for Square Mile Salute: “the City’s finest charity banquet”

The next Square Mile Salute will be held on the 24th September 2015 in the historic medieval splendour of Guildhall, with Monica Galetti at the helm. Guests will experience an amazing caviar and Gusbourne English Sparkling Wine reception hosted by Monica in the Guilhall Crypts and a sumptuous four course banquet with matched fine wines recreating the world of the Birley Clubs in the Great Hall.
