Voting for the Soldiering On Awards Animal Partnership and Inspiration categories closed at 23:59 on Monday, 26th August. You have voted in your thousands, and on behalf of our six outstanding Finalists, we thank you. This year, we were thrilled to see the vote count double compared to last year, demonstrating an incredible level of support and enthusiasm from the public.

The Animal Partnership Award – in partnership with Pets at Home – and the Inspiration Award – in partnership with NatWest – are perennial favourites, but this year we were blessed with nominees of astonishing quality. Our judging panel faced a herculean task in selecting three Finalists in each category, but ultimately, they arrived at a determination.

Clearly, our judges chose well. The reaction to the Finalists’ stories of endeavour and dedication has been truly extraordinary, and it is wonderful to see the public getting behind them in such huge numbers. The doubling of votes is a testament to the impact these stories have had, resonating deeply with so many.

All of this inspirational narrative comes directly from lived experience – it needs no hyperbole or embellishment – but so often, the individuals involved are too modest to shout about their remarkable achievements. That’s where our brilliant nominators come in, as well as the thousands who cast their votes.

We wish each of our Finalists the very best of luck – all will be revealed on Awards night, 16th October at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel!
